About us

ADHD Cleaning Planner is made by a family. Maya has ADHD. Jacob builds the app. This is who we are, why we made it, and how the blog is written.

Maya

Mother of four, lives with ADHD, writes about ADHD and cleaning

Maya has ADHD, and cleaning has always been hard for her. A messy house does not just feel inconvenient, it feels impossible. She gets overwhelmed, does not know where to start, and with four children in the house there is always more than one thing asking for attention.

Jacob Huisman

Father of four, developer of ADHD Cleaning Planner, writes the app comparisons

Jacob is a father of four and lives with Maya. He watched what helped her clean and turned it into an app, first for her and then for anyone else who finds it hard to get started.

How we write

We are not doctors or therapists. The articles describe coping strategies that work for us and for many people with ADHD, not medical advice. If ADHD is affecting your daily life, a clinician is the right person to talk to.

When an article makes a claim that needs a source, it links to one, preferring the original study or a health authority. Every article shows when it was published and when it was last updated, and the photos are credited to the people who took them.
