Privacy Policy

ADHD Cleaning Planner ("the App") is developed by WayToPlan.

Your privacy matters to us. This document explains how information is handled within the App.

1. Data Collection

The App stores your cleaning tasks, progress, and personal data locally on your device. This data is processed locally to provide you with insights and track your cleaning progress.

2. iCloud Sync

The App uses Apple's iCloud to sync your cleaning tasks, progress, and data across your devices. This sync is optional and requires you to be signed in to iCloud on your device.

All data synced through iCloud is encrypted and stored in your personal iCloud account. The App uses CloudKit, Apple's secure cloud service, to facilitate this sync. We do not have access to your synced data, and it remains private to you.

3. Photos

The App allows you to take before and after photos of your cleaning progress. These photos are stored locally on your device within the App's data storage. These before and after photos are not uploaded to any external servers, shared with third parties, or accessed by us.

Photo steps ("Help, I can't start!"):
Only when you use this feature, the one photo you choose for it is sent to be turned into cleaning steps. Before sending, the photo is made smaller and stripped of its metadata, such as location. Only the photo and your device language are sent: no name, account or identifier. It goes to our own server, which passes it on through OpenRouter to Google's Gemini model and returns the steps to you. We do not store the photo: it passes through our server's memory and is never written to disk, and we cannot see it. Our server keeps only a line for each request — the time, what it cost, and a scrambled form of your device's address and of a random id the app made for itself. OpenRouter and Google process the photo to create your steps, under their own privacy policies (OpenRouter Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy). The steps and your photos stay on your device. Before the first photo is sent, the App tells you, over the camera, that AI reads it and waits for your OK.

To use this feature, the App requires camera permission. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time through your iPhone settings.

4. Timelapse Videos

The App allows you to record timelapse videos while cleaning. These videos are stored locally on your device within the App's data storage. Timelapse videos are not uploaded to any external servers, shared with third parties, or accessed by us.

To use this feature, the App requires camera permission. You can grant or revoke this permission at any time through your iPhone settings.

5. Analytics and Third-Party Services

The App does not use advertising, advertising identifiers, or marketing tracking. Your cleaning data, photos, and timelapse videos are never sent to any third party, with one exception: the photo you choose to send for photo steps (see section 3). We use two services to operate the App:

Product analytics (PostHog):
To understand how the App is used and improve it, we send anonymous events to PostHog (such as: app opened, room opened, chore completed, paywall viewed, purchase completed) together with basic device information (device model, iOS version, app version, language). A random anonymous identifier is created on your device. It is not linked to your name, email address, Apple ID, or any advertising identifier. We never send the names of your tasks, photo content, or timelapse videos. Data is stored in PostHog's EU data center. PostHog's privacy policy applies to that data: PostHog Privacy Policy.

Subscription management (our own server): see section 6 (In-App Purchases) below for details.

6. In-App Purchases

The App offers premium features through in-app purchases:

Payment Processing:
Apple's App Store manages all payment processing. The App itself never receives or stores any payment details, credit card information, or billing addresses.

Subscription Analytics:
Apple sends purchase and subscription events to a server we operate ourselves, so we can understand subscription status and provide support. That server receives which product was bought, when, and the subscription state (e.g. active, expired). If you have an active subscription or trial, the App also tells that server that it was opened, at most once every six hours, so we can see whether a subscription is still being used. That report contains the transaction Apple signed for your subscription and the app version. It carries no device identifier, no analytics identifier, and nothing about your cleaning. The server never receives payment details, your name, email, Apple ID, or any of your cleaning data.

Subscription Management:
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings in the App Store. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. For yearly subscriptions, you can cancel during the free trial period to avoid being charged.

Refunds:
Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their refund policy. You can request a refund through Apple's support or your purchase history in the App Store.

7. Notifications

The App may send you local notifications to remind you about your cleaning routine. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device and do not require any external services. You can control notification permissions in your iPhone settings and toggle notifications on or off within the App settings.

8. Feedback and Contact

The App provides a feedback feature that allows you to send us messages directly from the App. When you send feedback, your message (including any optional name and email address you provide) is transmitted securely to us via a third-party email service (Web3Forms). We only receive the information you choose to include in your feedback message. Your feedback is sent to our email address and is not stored by the third-party service beyond the transmission process.

Steps from photo steps can also be reported from inside the App, with the flag on a step. A report sends us the text of the steps, anything you type, your device language, and the app version, device model and iOS version, through the same service (Web3Forms). Your photo is not sent.

9. Data Deletion

You can delete your data at any time by deleting the App from your device. If you have iCloud sync enabled, you may also need to delete the data from your iCloud account through your device settings. All photos, timelapse videos, and cleaning data stored locally will be permanently deleted when you remove the App.
